I've downloaded a dozen zips from the Digiscrap Parade Blog Train and I'm happy with what I downloaded. Judging from the previews I've seen of the next DST Blog Train, I say the Digiscrap Parade blog train is a 100% improvement. Well done contributors, I'll be looking forward to the next one!
What does everyone else think about it ? Any gripes or praise you'd like to dish out ?

«Oldest ‹Older 1201 – 1253 of 1253 Newer› Newest»197 - no. While she still owned TDC she started a blog connected to it (I forget what it was called) and it was all about documenting memories through writing and journaling. I followed it for a while and it was nice. It didn't say there was a right or wrong way to scrap and it wasn't even 100% related to scrapbooking. It was just about capturing memories through the written word.
I'm not surprised that the Nicole-haters would remember it the other way, though. SMH
200 - I call BS. If you knew about that thread, then you saw it at TDC and that would have been because you spent time at TDC. Anyone who spent time at TDC during that same point in time would have remembered the blog which started at the same time, and yet it only "sounds familiar" to you? BS. I think you're one of the TDC designers who didn't like her and I doubt your memory is as fuzzy as you would like us to believe.
LOL at the idea of Scrapflower turning into a CU-only site. If they haven't even been able to keep a PU site up and running for more than a month or two since launching last year, what makes them think they can earn business from other designers who have probably had it up to here with them? Who is going to shop for CU at Scrapflower over the other more reliable and steady options already out there? I give it 3 months max before it shuts down for good.
3 Why be so negative? From my experiences shopping at the new Scrap Flower, the owner is much better than all others before her. It seems like everyone here wants to see everyone fail.

Duh.
Nope. Not a TDC designer 2. Sorry to disappoint! I was not spending lots of time there at all. That thread is fucking legendary
I believe the term she used was "worthless." No store owner or designer should ever call someone else's layout worthless, in my opinion. I don't even think Traci Reed has done that.
Really?
http://madforthemouse.blogspot.com/
Oh they have a disclaimer on the bottom of the page.
No, 7, Traci Reed just talks down to customers and people in the forum and on facebook, and treats people like shit on a daily basis, but as long as she doesn't use the word "worthless" it's all good.
well, I wouldn't want to meet either of them in a dark alley. I think there are some scrappers/ designers who have very definite ideas of what everyone should do, and there are other scrappers/designers who want you to do what YOU want to do to the best of your ability. I prefer the latter.
Personally, I think Suzy left SO because her sales have taken a nose dive, and she blamed SO instead of putting the blame on herself where it belonged. I stopped shopping in her store a while ago because she kept putting out the same kit with the same flowers and similar color schemes every single week. I liked her style, but the repetition of the same elements over and over really turned me off. I'd imagine I'm not the only customer she lost because of that.
--------
this! I pretty much the same thing about a year ago here about her kits and it got poo-poo'd on. Her kits are the same over & over & over. Just different color schemes. Thanks. I'll buy one and just recolor it myself.

I don't understand how she can sell the disney images? She has a disclaimer so that means it's ok?

SSD peek thread - one girl has layouts of her adorable little baby...sleeping, eating, etc. BUT...I really don't want to see her boob in every layout. While I may be for or against breastfeeding doesn't really matter - I don't need to see a boob on every page of the peek thread.
Cute kid and all, but really - nipple shots? I can't imagine the kid is gonna love seeing that when they're grown up either - I know I wouldn't want to see my mothers nipple in a scrapbook page.
#14 #15 Thanks for sharing! That's hilarious!!

I'm glad I looked at the pics before smacking you all for being prudish. Lol!
Yeah, that's full-on inappropriate.
#13 I didn't say it was ok since she does have a disclaimer. I just meant she must think it is ok since she does have one.
Got to love the hair on the nipple. At least edit that out. I'm shocked SSD let that stay up in the gallery.
17 - me too! I'm pro breastfeeding but omfg really inappropriate. I can't imagine their child wanting all that nipple & boob in those layouts either. Even if you get over the first layout with all the nipple, the second post just has her baby near her exposed breast.
It just looks weird.

If I were the designer, I would be quietly asking for replacement pages. I mean if you CT for someone you're doing it so they can use your images for marketing reasons. Did this CTM really think those images could be used??? FFS.
The baby isn't even eating. I didn't even look at the baby. All I saw was a huge areola.
She used Nicole's kit/collab. I wonder what kind of journaling she would expect out of those layouts! lol
I've never given birth, so I just don't know, but the baby seems so small in comparrison. Is it a premie?
Is Sweet Shop a closed gallery? I ask because I am awfully tempted to scraplift those layouts and use some pics I have of puppies nursing! Yeah, I know, I really shouldn't.....
FFS, those layouts are just inappropriate for public display. One would hope that a grown woman would be able to figure that out.
I have to laugh at the predicament Nicole's gotten herself into. If she says nothing, tons of people are offended by the inappropriate layouts and it could affect her sales.
If she does nut up and ask that CT whackjob to take them down, she's probably going to get pounced on by the scary boob lady and her breastfeeding Nazi friends.
Just SMH at how stupid some designers are with who they take on as CT members.
Those LOs certainly don't make me want to run out and buy Nicole's kits.
Does SSD allow nipples in photos? When you sign up for the site, don't you have to click "I agree" to that laundry list of DOs and DON'Ts? Isn't one of them about "appropriateness" of pics? I can't remember.
Trish should not be wearing horizontal stripes.

Yuck. Just gross. Totally support breast-feeding and in public. But I do not want to see saucer-sized nipple photos ever.
Hahahahahahaha #29 I'm choking!!!
Saucer-sizzed nipples?????
I'm not a prude at all, I have no problem with nude pics but these nipple baby photos were disturbing to me. They should remain private.
I'd say those SSD sneak "peeks" showed just a little bit too much!
yeah, I think I'll be skipping SSD's offerings this week. Those huge ass nipple pics were disturbing. I'd rather stick to sites where I know that kind of bullshit won't be tolerated.
what have been seen cannot be unseen
It's too bad that SSD can't have some sensible policy like "absolutely no nudity allowed in the gallery or forum" Because, those pictures are truly not ok for public display.
Egads! I am not by any means a "prude" and am totally pro-breast-feeding, and yes, in public is fine with me too, but FFS, don't post GRAPHIC, CLOSE-UP PHOTOS of (what SHOULD be) private body parts online, no matter what the context is.
I am shocked that these haven't been taken down by admin! I don't want my children to be standing behind me seeing my screen when THAT pops up as I look through the gallery! (or my husband.... "Wow... what are you looking at?? lemme see" LMAO!)
How does that girl even make all those CT's? Boobs aside, the layouts are super boring.
And Trish is annoying as hell, but picking on her looks is kind of lame.

Bella Gypsy uses ALL CU. How are they at Scrap Orchard?
I can't remember if it was either last year or the year before, one of the crapping contests (I can't which sit e- possible Scrap Matters) had someone doing an album of her birth shots - completed with all parts. They were beautiful photos and beautiful layouts, and I do think that there is a place where sharing those kind of photos and layouts is OK (ie: parenting boards, on your private blog, etc) but I also think they aren't appropriate for promotional layouts.
Seriously? Erin Tietz is now at SSD selling actions. Gosh. She store hops, retires, reinvents every other month! I can't even remember all her design names in the last year.
#37 just viewed her gallery and OMG a newbie would do better than that crap. so boring, FFS and she is a so called designer????
Dsf blogtrain is online but not a lot to download!
#21 I think that seeing the almost nude poser dolls are worse then seeing a baby breast feeding. I don't see anything wrong with these layouts as it's more about the baby then the breast. I'd also bet I"m a LOT older then you and things like this just don't bother me in the least,
To the one who said she doesn't want her children seeing these, well I bet they see a lot more of stuff that really shouldn't be seen. If like most children today they wouldn't blink an eye but they might giggle a little. Some people just need to worry more about the serious stuff going on in the world today. That might affect you all a lot more then a baby breast feeing..
^^this^^ totally agree!
lol, the breastfeeding nazis were bound to show up. There's nothing wrong with breastfeeding, but there is A LOT wrong with putting close-up pics of your frisbee sized nipples in a public gallery.
SMH at people who can't understand that some things are only meant for private settings.
than/then
Learn the difference, old lady (44)
I'll bet money all you boob smackers are American.
Guess I'm going to take a couple pics of my vagina today to scrap because that's where my kids came from and show it to them. They'd probably just giggle a little because we all know today's kids just sit around watching porn instead of walking to school uphill both ways...

Well, at least you know SSD will have no problem with you posting them in their gallery! :)
I just don't want to see ugly nipples in closeup shots. If I were sitting across the table from you at a restaurant as you breast feed, I would not have the closeup view of them. But put a warning on public layouts. "Closeup shots of super-sized ugly nipples ahead." Porn nipples are fine. They are chosen for their attractiveness and meant to be viewed closeup. They are not mottled, hairy and full of big pores and bumps.
It's not a nursing photo if I can see full on nipple. I'm no lactation consultant, but I think in order to be nursing, that part has to be in his mouth.
52 - Haha. Agreed.
