I've downloaded a dozen zips from the Digiscrap Parade Blog Train and I'm happy with what I downloaded. Judging from the previews I've seen of the next DST Blog Train, I say the Digiscrap Parade blog train is a 100% improvement. Well done contributors, I'll be looking forward to the next one!

1. I love how your an un-returned email results in such a quick conclusion that she is a rude bitch who didn't bother to reply. Maybe the email got lost in spam filters or accidentally missed? So much spam goes through my email box daily it can be easy to miss something, but I'm sure you have never made such a mistake and that you are as perfect as you expect others to be.
3 - I'm not the OP, but I am a designer. I check my spam box several times a week for that very reason. It only takes a minute to scan through to be sure only the penis enlargement and you've won the lottery messages are in spam and not something actually pertaining to my business.

Apparently she is running in a fun run, it is that new fad a Color Run, and she is going to do the run wearing this. Yeah, she's too sick to do all the promised freebies, but well enough to do a fun run. The Color Runs are a new fad and they through color bombs at the runners. The color bombs are some type of color powder. The powder will get into your camera and coat its lens and ruin it. Probably wreck havoc with you cell phone, too.
A lot of store owners handle the store customer service for their designers...at least the good stores I have personally sold at. The idea of not contacting the store itself (stores have a contact us button for a reason...)and getting upset at the designer when there are definitely instances when something goes wrong with e-mails is silly to me.
Stores are paid a part of our sales as designers for many reasons, one is to be the main point of contact for customer service. I have never once emailed a designer directly and have no idea why anyone would.

I don't care about SSD but obviously read all about it in here. I don't think I ever shopped there, or visited their forum. I never applied to be a babe, or a designer there. There are a lot of Lauras in the scrapland, and haven't met a bad one yet. I have noticed Tara and thought her pages, especially her photo work was top notch. I am really confused by the "brown nosing" and "being up so-and-so's ass"comments. From what I can tell, these people you describe like that are people that are just close online friends. When you are friends with someone, you are generally positive and friendly with them no? And these so called "cliques", could it be that they are groups of people with similar likes and dislikes that have built friendships? Am I missing something here?

I have been over there since Mandabean and Christy Lyle were designers and left I've watched designers go and come and have never once been or felt welcomed, even after posting a newbie thread etc etc etc, in fact i'll give a great example there were several meet ups that were planned awhile back ago each I said I wanted to go to and no one every even bothered to say anything to me and I tried extremely hard to insert myself into these meet ups because I did want to meet people who had the same interests as me or kids my childrens ages and was ignored even making sure to ask questions to see if I could get answers (amazingly NO answers but the conversations sure went on as if I'd never even made a comment by the clique). So yea I have seen those cliques in action constantly hate to say over at SSD is the worst but they are. So I completely agree with what #137 is saying. Very unwelcoming crew.

I am not a babe or on any of the teams there. I bought a few of the kits, they were okay? I did a few of the lift challenges and had a few nice comments. jacinda? she always leaves nice comments on a ton of pages. I don't care for the challenge system and pinterest, just not for me. I do think that they have all become pretty close for a team and sometimes they forget that new people come in and will stay if they are welcomed. I don't think they are conspiring to keep people out, just having more personal chats in the forum and that excludes others. 151 - I think you hit the nail on the head. They do seem to get caught up in their friendships, but not in a way that seems intentional or mean girls like. As for designers/babes not commenting on layouts...does anyone comment on layouts anymore? I seem to only get comments on facebook these days.
#151 I have to say Scrap Orchard seems to be pretty welcoming in my humble opinion. TLP is pretty clique but not as much as SSD sadly its just seriously rubbed me the wrong way.

153 - I didn't find TLP like that at all. I have participated in their challenges and get several "real" comments on my LOs. More than "nice page".
I've always had nice comments on my pages at TLP, too, and many of them from the designers themselves.
#157- Some of the designers will skip over you and just talk to the Pollywogs. Some designers don't talk to the members at all. Like Gina Miller. I just feel like a few of the designers are kind of stuck up. The Polly's are very good with talking and commenting. There are a few that are very cliquey though. I guess you can expect that in any place where women hang out together.
CowCunt is at the movies, which is probably why the SSD is so fucking awesome and you want to be just like us bullshit has subsided.
I love the whole, we don't want your money because we don't need it commentary following the why would we make regular customers Babes comment. I wish customers would get a clue about those CowCunts. Especially Traci.

not to jump on tlps band wagon, but dang I get some nice comments there and go broke in the store and never once have I got a "nice cluster" or "pretty page" comment. Maybe my clusters suck and my page ain't purty! I like it there so far. I like seeing many of the designers actually scrap pages too.
It would be nice if everyone could see those comments I'm sure Robin would DIE if she hasn't already seen how they conduct themselves. Of course they don't want customers as babes because then they wouldn't have any money but then again I shop looking at others layouts and if they suck it doesn't exactly sell things to me and I'm less likely to buy it. I'm glad I don't like cuntcows items so I can't say she gets a dime out of me or anyon who collabs with her because I have had one interaction with her and she is in fact a def. cuntcow.

wow. I'm not affiliated with SSD except as a customer. I don't participate in the forum, and now will never have the desire to do so. If this is how the designers and ct behave, maybe they don't need my business after all. Sad. Robin, I hope if you read this you'll put your team in check. This behavior doesn't reflect well on you or your store.
I usually do email a designer directly if I'm in the same general social circle, only because it's usually quicker to get things fixed without having to go through the middle man.
If they aren't within my social circle then I simply email the store. I've never had a problem with customer service except at TLP. I actually DID email the store with no response.

I've been shopping hard for about a year. I'll say I've spent about $3k- just as a reference to how much I've bought. I've only needed to contact one designer, and it was about how I double bought a kit. They made it right with 1 email and less than a week.
With that said, I don't shop at SSD. Which makes me wonder since y'all have had quality and CS issues.... So I don't expect to start shopping there soon

Wow. I am a loooooong-time customer of SSD & it's been my main store for years. But after reading some of the replies from fellow SSDers I may want to rethink where I shop. How awful to have those attitudes towards others. To think so highly of yourself and bash other people based on something that is a personal style. Yikes. It's quite shameful.
I thought the same thing, 172. I'm not active in the forums there, but I shop first from a few designers at SSD before anyone else. I'll be rethinking my purchases, too.

I'm very confused: you want designers/store CTMs to comment on your pages to show that they're friendly, but a page or two back in this month's comments, people were complaining when a designer sent them an email to say "thanks for your purchase!" Someone said something like (I am paraphrasing) I don't want the designer to be my BFF.
So which is it? Do you want acknowledgement or not? Because you may never post a LO in the gallery, a designer may want to send you an EMAILED thanks. And if you don't get comments on your LOs, maybe it's because you post them when no one else is awake. I'd rather get no comments on a LO than have old LOs dredged up (like that certain praiser at SM--so annoying. Don't post a comment on a two-year-old page just so you can earn a bigger gift certificate at the end of the month).
Sorry, that last bit was a tangent. But my question still remains: How can you complain about "spam" thank you emails and then in the next breath bitch that people don't gush over your LOs? And how many of you complaining about LOs with no praise leave love for other people? It's like when, in an elected society, non-voters bitch about the government. If you don't participate, then it's ridiculous to complain. (Wait, I'm on a smack blog...everyone here, myself included, is ridiculous.)

Duh, people want mostly CU free kits, at 50% off and then they want the designer to stalk the gallery and post lovey comments on their layouts. Seems reasonable to me. *eye roll*
124 - The new site design is ugly, the old one was so much better. I used to shop there but all the good designers left for better stores so I've moved on.
I don't know much about TLP as I've only bought one or two things there. I used to buy more from SSD but the attitude on display here is so prevalent that it has to be the perfect kit for me to buy from there. SO and SM get most of my money. As far as gallery comments, my LOs at SM always seem to get very genuine and nice comments, more than just great LO. The forum over there doesn't move as fast but everyone seems nice. SO can be hit or miss with comments.
#181- SM is amazing at gallery comments.
Oh I don't like the comments at SM. It was always from the comment girls, not from regulars. So I knew they left me a comment only because it was their job. That's just as meaningless to me as "Nice page" ... Course it's been a while since I've been active there, so maybe things have gotten better and/or changed.
TLP has a gallery comment requirement for the store ct as well.
180 - you forgot they also want weekly releases, too.

I've been accused of being Ginger from Gingerscraps, Traci Reed, Zoe Pearn, Jennifer Barrett, etc.etc.etc. and I've never so much as designed or extracted a button or been on a ct, let alone never posted on any scrap forum or had a gallery. I've just given my opinion as I saw fit. You've avoided SSD for behavior by anonymous people on a smack blog? That's intelligent. It's also intelligent to shop somewhere because the employees leave you well thought-out accolades for your pages. Have you ever thought maybe it's because they want you to continue shopping there, hence, the comments?

Good luck, it makes no sense to me at all. I think it's actually one of the easier places to shop. And I think SO is one of the most difficult. Maybe the OP is thinking of SBE.
