Make me three. Never ever had any issues with Stacy...past or present! You want drama...go look somewhere else. The only drama here is coming from the designers who did the wrong thing and are probably regretting it. They don't want to look bad so they are trying to put the blame on Stacy. Most designers have been at GP for years. Would that be the case if it was an unpleasant place....I don't think so!

1-What you said is totally speculative. (the only drama here is coming from the designers who did the wrong thing and are probably regretting it.) You have no idea if a designer did anything wrong unless you are Stacy or a designer that has been let go. I don't participate there. Everybody looks at a situation from a different view. What may seem wrong to a designer, may not be wrong from a store owners perspective, and vice versa. They both may think they did the right thing.

200- Royanna? maybe?

Store owners - I am looking for word art, if I go to the word art category and 500+ items come up, I expect them to all be word art. Not full kits with a tag with a couple words on it, not alphas, not Atomic Cupcake labels. It's call word ART.

I'm already annoyed after 100 items and I'm moving on.

Anonymous said...

It is strange that rosey toes is gone from GP yet still links her blog and fb products there... She only made one comment saying her newest prod is only at gs now. Nosy minds wonder what happened Like me!

Anonymous said...

NO, #3. Not Royanna. At least that isn't who I meant.

Anonymous said...

#4 I agree! I hate looking for something and having a bunch of kits or something in a section just because there is one in the kit...

Anonymous said...

Hate that also. Hope someone is listening.

That's the fault of the designer, not the store owner. Also, if you are having an issue, go and complain to the store owner. No changes will be made by complaining here.

Anonymous said...

9- I disagree to an extent. Yes, my designers should put things in the right place, but it is up to me to enforce that they do. I dont have an issue with it often, but when it comes up my designers are pretty good about correcting things.

Anonymous said...

They can't hear if you don't speak to them.

Anonymous said...

I happen to know Royanna has a nasty history of not paying designers. It's too bad she can still suck in newbie designers.

12- Been there. I was told she was a little flaky but no one told me she didnt pay on time- ever. I didnt put up with that very long.

Anonymous said...

That's why you should ask current designers or admins before you move into a store.

I agree that the right way to categorize teh products will affect my shopping. For example, if I want some CU products and there is a CU category, I will click on it but if in there, everything is packed (brushes, elements, overlays, templates, actions, styles, etc.) I will NOT shop there. I am not just window shopping. If I want something, I want to be able to find it. I might want to see if they have new styles, or new brushes but if I have to go through 20 pages of previews, no thanks. Too many stores have inefficient category system.

Anonymous said...

Any news where Jennifer Labre is going?

Anonymous said...

16 - Totally agree, plus if you have itty bitty previews.....moving on.

I'm curious how you would like to see CU categories organized?

--------
I am not the other person, but one store that have good CU categories is STO no matter what you can think of that store.

I am #16 and I have seen CU categories with sub-categories like Brushes, Styles, Actions and Scripts, Overlays, Elements, Templates. I just checked a few places that came to mind and Divine Digital has a good category system, Scrap Matters, Scrap Bird too. I just can't remember which store had all their CU in one single category. I didn't stay there very long.

She's going to SO. That's already been discussed.

stores that have all in one CU ? GP and SBB

^^

I just looked at GP and they have their designer resources all linked at the top of the category into smaller categories. Perhaps that is new.

SBB on the other hand - ugh, ya I totally see why that is a problem.

Anonymous said...

20 If the products are shit then it doesn't matter how well organized they are.

Anonymous said...

http://scraptakeout.com/shoppe/Word-Art-CU/

WordArt

There are no available products under this category.

Sorry, that made me laugh since I was the original poster of this subject and specifically looking for word art. (although not CU)

-----

Doesn't look that different from most of the places out there.

Anonymous said...

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?

Anonymous said...

I was wondering if everything was going into spam.

Anonymous said...

What designers are moving stores or retiring this week?

Anonymous said...

The ones moving and retiring, just a wild guess though.

Anonymous said...

Jeanye La Baya is retiring and has a sale.

Anonymous said...

Kay Miller is gone from Scrap Orchard...no idea what happened there.

Jennifer Labre and Tickled Pink Studio are now at SO.

Anonymous said...

Tickled Pink? Isn't that Becca Boo? or is there another one? She was at 2Peas, I thought that would be a dream gig.

Anyone have experience with 2Peas that they are willing to share?

Anonymous said...

Have you looked at the digistuff available at 2Pea's lately? What a joke. They took in Truman Studio - need I say more? bleh!

THIS. My opinion went down simultaneously.

Anonymous said...

36 - No, not really. I don't know who Truman Studio is, just took a look. What's so bad? Specifically? It doesn't look bad to me.

Anonymous said...

Kay Miller took a season off to spend with her kids. She'll likely be back. She didn't announce retirement, just a break for a while.

Four more heads dropped at GP.

Armina designs
Jen Martakis designs
Meta Wulandari designs

I didn't think my opinion of SO could sink lower. Jennifer Labre? Her colors are hideously dark and oversaturated. Awful.

No idea who Tickled Pink Studio is. She opens with 2 kits, an alpha, and an element pack. $8 for a kit at SO? Even Irene's non-CU filled, hand painted goodness wasn't that expensive.

These girls are smoking some serious crack.

Anonymous said...

38 I looked as well and think many of her things are cute, not sure what the problem is with them?

Anonymous said...

I've heard 2Peas has a really low commission rate, but they don't expect much of their designers as far as participation. Could be a dream gig for some.

Anonymous said...

It's not that uncommon for designers to leave 2Peas. It may have been a dream gig four or more years ago, but it sure isn't these days.

Anonymous said...

2Peas is a joke for digi.

Jennifer Labre at SO is a joke. I heard she had to beg to get taken on there. Her stuff is a mess.

Tickled Pink Studio I have never heard of before today, but her prices are a joke.

Anonymous said...

Anything that's not a joke? ;)

Anonymous said...

lol! It's all a joke lately.

Anonymous said...

I am also wondering what is wrong with Truman Studio. I just had a look at her stuff and it seems good to me?

Anonymous said...

#36 Truman studio's kits look good quality I have one of hers on my wishlist. But before I buy what exactly was your problem with Truman Studio? Is the quality of the kits not up to scratch?

Anonymous said...

Why are my posts getting deleted?

Anonymous said...

#50- What did you post? Maybe they went into spam?

Anonymous said...

Why would anyone beg to sell at SO in the first place?

Anonymous said...

Who do you think has the best color schemes in their kits?

Anonymous said...

This is a joke to me: http://shop.scrapbookgraphics.com/Celeste-digital-scrapbook-kit-mega-bundle.html
(I'm talking about the price here)

Anonymous said...

#54 SBG has always been on the more expensive side of the digiworld though. Thats a price that I'd expect to see there.

DigiSmacker said...

Ooh, a bunch did go into spam! I've got the following comments:

"I am a known designer who has been designing for several years. I am thinking about changing stores, if you could choose, where would you go?"

"Hey my post disappeared, what happened?"

"They were there and then they weren't. I posted asking about where you would design if you could choose."

"#50- What did you post? Maybe they went into spam? ---- Not the OP but my comment did not go into spam as I saw it posted but now it's now (sic) longer there."

"#55 - show me another mega bundle at SBG that has that price."

Anonymous said...

Not #55 but I agree I just had a quick look and I found these ones:

I'm not sure what you guys are on about....I just spent some time browsing Jennifer Labre's store and saw several kits I would love to have! She may need to drop a few duds from her CT, as I saw some really dreadful pages, but all in all, I find her designs and color palettes very attractive. Is the quality bad? Or is there some inside story I don't know about?

Anonymous said...

I don't think Jennifer's kits are bad, but her previewing skills could use some work.

Anonymous said...

Studio Basic (Ru)her style is very unique and colorful, but her stuff (and ct layouts) make me dizzy.

Anonymous said...

Why designers, why? Why post political rants on your Facebook page? You risk making 50% of your customers angry because 50% are on the opposite side.

Do customers care about this? Does it affect your decision to buy from them?

Just curious.

Anonymous said...

Never seen anyone do political rants on their business page? But honestly even if we didn't agree if I liked their stuff wouldn't change my mind to buy from them. We are all entitled to our own opinions

Anonymous said...

they are absolutely entitled to their opinions. That being said, so am I, and it DOES affect the way I feel about them. Just as it affects the way I feel when they rant about stupid customers, whine about customer service, etc.

Anonymous said...

#61- One designer had a random question about Pap smears on her fanpage. Not what I want to see when I go to her fanpage.

Anonymous said...

Ok, so I've been searching these different designers that people are complaining about.

Truman Studio? - It may not be my cup of tea but her kits aren't horrible by any means. There is a difference between quality and style. I may not like her style but her quality is good.

Jennifer Labre? Oversatured? Dark? Hmm.. another case of perhaps a style difference. I think her kits are very nice looking. They do not seem over saturated. The Disney one seems bright.. but it's disney! LOL

Tickled Pink - Ok, they have a few things.. but the few things are cute (in my own opinion)

I feel like people are stretching! To me this is over saturated!

Anonymous said...

Just because you can find something MORE over saturated doesn't mean the original item ISN'T over saturated.

On a side note, I give OSD 6 months.

Anonymous said...

I'm surprised OSD is still open.

I think you need to understand what oversaturated means. Jennifer Labre's colors are definitely that. She reminds me of a poor man's Trixie Scraps...

Anonymous said...

#65 Oversaturated does not = bright/neon. Neon can be oversaturated, but so can any color.

Anonymous said...

#67- LOL! Poor man's Trixie Scraps.

Anonymous said...

I still want to know what happened with Rosey Toes at GP.

Anonymous said...

I'd be curious to know what's going on at GP in general. Handfuls of designers have disappeared over the last month. Seems odd. Not living up to expectations? Inside issues? Management/owner changes? Anyone know?

Anonymous said...

The political issue. Yes, designer are entitled to their own opinions but if they put that opinion a business page, then I will, naturally, assume it's the business opinion (eg Chick Fil A). If they want to express their personal opinion, put in their personal page.

Now as to making 50% customers angry because 50% will be on the other side. Wow, do you assume that every customer lives in the US? Contrary to popular belief, they do not and most of them don't give a crap about foreign politics; any more than most US citizens don't give a crap about politics outside their own country.

Anonymous said...

I found the complaint about the mega bundles at SBG to be ridiculous.

Most of the mega bundles I've seen at other stores are priced accordingly.

I'm not even a fan of SBG but when I see BS I feel the need to call it out.

Anonymous said...

72 - I was specifically thinking about the abortion issue, not really just US politics. Yes, some designers strongly express their opinions on that issue.

Anonymous said...

I've worked with Jennifer Labre at a store before. She is not a team player and she does not play well with others. I have never been a fan of her palettes, and I know on more than one occasion that she has blatantly copied palettes and kit themes from other designers at the store she sells at. Some of her kits are lovely though, so I wish her luck although I do not think much of her as a person.

Anonymous said...

72 - I was specifically thinking about the abortion issue, not really just US politics. Yes, some designers strongly express their opinions on that issue.
----

I was not aware it was about abortion, sorry. I thought it was more specific to US politics, as opposed to universal politics, as you didn't give any details.

Did Jennifer Labre go by the name of Jenn7 at one stage?
