I just honestly have no way of scanning my own. I've taken pictures of different greenery and extracted those but I haven't yet mastered the art of taking perfect photos either.

So the owner made up the emails she posted between you and another store owner showing the attitude you had, dismissed you out of the store, deleted the files from the collab server herself and scrambled trying to get all the pieces back from the other designers to put them back and advised us to take down any collabs we had done with you just to get at you? She made all that up huh? Yeah if you expect me or anyone else to believe that then you are definitely off your meds LOL LOL!!!!

Going back to the "Dream Team" designer list... I agree leave out the font designer. Especially Darcy - all of her fonts are just the handwriting of people who pay her to make their writing a font. Oodles of those for free on Fonts for Peas. If you're going to have a font designer, at least have it be one who, you know, DESIGNS fonts.
Handwritten fonts are a dime a dozen, I'd like to see some good creative fonts. You know, the kind that looks like it took longer than 5 minutes to design them.
Coming from a paper scrapping background, where I hand wrote all my journaling, I really appreciated the personal handwriting, but it looks to me like most of them look totally similar. My handwriting isn't the greatest looking thing in the world, and on a paper page it was fine. Back then everybody encouraged us to use our own handwriting. But on a digi layout, the neater fonts sure look a lot better.

If I were dealing with a sick child, the last thing I'd want to divert my attention is causing drama. I've never had anything to do with Michelle but I know that Aly deleted files at another store she was a part of. If you do any type of search for her on Baby Gaga, you can see all of the problems she caused. From posting someones information as retaliation to wishing someones child dead. She also was selling her siggy graphics with other peoples kits. Isn't that against TOU? The kits she used is now in a password protected photobucket but as a long time member of Baby Gaga, I remember her pirating antics there. Some people just need attention, whether it be positive or negative. Maybe it's because her mother didn't love her enough? At least that's what she said on BG.

While I like the idea of handwritten fonts, if it's not my handwriting, what's the point? The other thing that bugs me is that handwriting is an imperfect art, and when it's a font, all of the letters are identical. (Unless you've paid for a really good one, that has alternate letters.) And then it takes forever.
A quick Google search (HA!) found that there is. I really don't want to have to block people at all, so Aly, I respectfully request that you tone it down.

I have a tablet, but can't hardly use it! My handwriting looks like when you sign one of those machines in the grocery store. Ugly!! I can't figure out why it looks so bad! Jessica Sprague has a wacom tablet class I was thinking of taking, but my tablet is a knock off so I'm not sure the class will help.
I have a tablet, but my pen is missing. So my tablet is in my desk for the moment. They are handy but the bigger screen size are better than the smallest ones for designing.

102-It's a personal preference rather than not actually working for designing. I do not like the smaller ones (mine for instance is 4x6in I believe), so having an even slightly larger work area on the tablet would benefit me greatly.
I know a lot of CT hos. If they can keep-up, who cares? I like Patti's pages, but they're all the same looking - white background paper, lots of scribbles, lots of elements. I can't believe she'd even be interested in being a Babe. Her scrapping style doesn't fit that store at all.
It's annoying that she shows up and posts 500 times about nothing while a call is going on, and then once the call is over, she's long gone. Totally transparent. Either you're a member of the community or you aren't.

I, too, hate people who show up, post during the call, then leave. I'd rather have someone new who isn't being fake during the call or someone who is already a part of the community and has been before the call.
116- That is common from what I see with store calls. Would it hurt to stay around after the call and get to know people? You don't have to post everyday but maybe once every few weeks. It will show you are interested in the community not just a CT spot. There are going to be tons of scrappers in the running for that SSD call. I'm curious as to who actually makes it.
Fonts - if you want to make a whole lot of fonts and you have an iPad, I highly recommend the iFontmaker app. I bought it and have already made a bunch of fonts and my daughter has too and she's only 8. It's really easy to do.
If your on a store CT, why would you apply for the personal team of a designer that sells at the store? I never understood why some girls apply for a designers personal team if they CT for the store they sell at.

128-Someone brought that up earlier. In my case, I work at a store that you are assigned 2 designers a month to work with. (This is to ensure that all the designers get CT coverage each month--it also gives the CT experience with a lot of different styles from the different designers.) I've been there for over a year, and haven't been assigned to all the designers yet. So the designer that I'm on the CT for that works at that store, I'd only get to work with less than one time a year. So, I stayed on her CT. If we are on a designers team, we aren't assigned that designer for the store. I'd give up the store CT though, before I'd give up the designer.

169--Maybe. I've heard of that happening once at 2 peas. One poster claimed to have a stalker, and that person and another person got into a fight in the forum. The fight was nasty. Then we found out later that the two people was really only one really disturbed person that got banned.
IMO Two peas is just like any other forums I'm at. There are good and there are not so good. As long as you stay away from the NSBR board, everything is fine. They get a little rough on that board. It was the first forum I ever belonged to. I used to post there a lot when I was a paper scrapper.
178-I CT for three designers at 2 peas, and I like the people in the forums there. Although, over the past few years, participation has really gone down. It used to be quite busy on the boards.
^Because Scrap Orchard and Sweet Shoppe are both contenders for best digi-store out there. Sweet Shoppe has been around for a long time, with lots of loyal customers. Scrap Orchard is branching out and doing things that no other digi-stores are doing. Trailblazers, if you will.

Going back to the "Dream Team" designer list... I agree leave out the font designer. Especially Darcy - all of her fonts are just the handwriting of people who pay her to make their writing a font. Oodles of those for free on Fonts for Peas. If you're going to have a font designer, at least have it be one who, you know, DESIGNS fonts.
Decent fonts, too, not "scrapbooking" fonts. They should die a slow, painful death.
Handwritten fonts are a dime a dozen, I'd like to see some good creative fonts. You know, the kind that looks like it took longer than 5 minutes to design them.
Coming from a paper scrapping background, where I hand wrote all my journaling, I really appreciated the personal handwriting, but it looks to me like most of them look totally similar. My handwriting isn't the greatest looking thing in the world, and on a paper page it was fine. Back then everybody encouraged us to use our own handwriting. But on a digi layout, the neater fonts sure look a lot better.
There must be something freaky in the air this time of year where Aly lives since it was this exact same time last year she had her meltdown. If I were dealing with a sick child, the last thing I'd want to divert my attention is causing drama. I've never had anything to do with Michelle but I know that Aly deleted files at another store she was a part of. Funny how Aly claims to have only been a part of FPD during the "alleged" deleting of files when she was part of 3 different stores at that time plus throwing a hissy fit that another store didn't want her dramatics.
If you do any type of search for her on Baby Gaga, you can see all of the problems she caused. From posting someones information as retaliation to wishing someones child dead. She also was selling her siggy graphics with other peoples kits. Isn't that against TOU? The kits she used is now in a password protected photobucket but as a long time member of Baby Gaga, I remember her pirating antics there. Some people just need attention, whether it be positive or negative. Maybe it's because her mother didn't love her enough? At least that's what she said on BG.

While I like the idea of handwritten fonts, if it's not my handwriting, what's the point? The other thing that bugs me is that handwriting is an imperfect art, and when it's a font, all of the letters are identical. (Unless you've paid for a really good one, that has alternate letters.) And then it takes forever.

I also don't like my handwriting but others do. And then I think that I love to see old letters my mother wrote to me and see her familiar writing now that she is gone. But I've not found a way (in digi) that I like to add my own writing. I like clean fonts because they're so much easier to read.
As a mom, I am always telling my oldest "ignore him, don't let him bother you and he'll leave you alone" about her "annoying" little brother. Just carry on with the "normal" conversation and pretend that those posts are not even there. She'll eventually get bored here too and move on to where she gets the best reaction.

Could you have someone like Darcy make a font for you from your handwriting? I found one that was so close to mine its hard to tell the difference.
I've started to add my handwriting in small amounts on my layouts... like in a subtitle or date. That's doable on my Wacom, but doesn't take a year.
She knows she's getting to everyone so she will keep it up. If you just ignore her (it's really hard to) she will get bored or start posting "anon" so we don't have to know who she is.

102-It's a personal preference rather than not actually working for designing. I do not like the smaller ones (mine for instance is 4x6in I believe), so having an even slightly larger work area on the tablet would benefit me greatly.

116- That is common from what I see with store calls. Would it hurt to stay around after the call and get to know people? You don't have to post everyday but maybe once every few weeks. It will show you are interested in the community not just a CT spot. There are going to be tons of scrappers in the running for that SSD call. I'm curious as to who actually makes it.
How many CT's does it take to call a person a CT Ho? Just checking.

Fonts - if you want to make a whole lot of fonts and you have an iPad, I highly recommend the iFontmaker app. I bought it and have already made a bunch of fonts and my daughter has too and she's only 8. It's really easy to do.

128-Someone brought that up earlier. In my case, I work at a store that you are assigned 2 designers a month to work with. (This is to ensure that all the designers get CT coverage each month--it also gives the CT experience with a lot of different styles from the different designers.) I've been there for over a year, and haven't been assigned to all the designers yet. So the designer that I'm on the CT for that works at that store, I'd only get to work with less than one time a year. So, I stayed on her CT. If we are on a designers team, we aren't assigned that designer for the store. I'd give up the store CT though, before I'd give up the designer.

Apparently someone offered to buy the site design and use it exclusively. So she cAme to me telling me that I needed to make them take it down so she can sell it because she (and I quote) "don't know those hoes".

She was in desperate need for money so she tried to use the site design to get it. It was really low of her to do in my opinion but I'm glad she has gone away now. Because that wasn't cool at all.

169--Maybe. I've heard of that happening once at 2 peas. One poster claimed to have a stalker, and that person and another person got into a fight in the forum. The fight was nasty. Then we found out later that the two people was really only one really disturbed person that got banned.

IMO Two peas is just like any other forums I'm at. There are good and there are not so good. As long as you stay away from the NSBR board, everything is fine. They get a little rough on that board. It was the first forum I ever belonged to. I used to post there a lot when I was a paper scrapper.

Anybody else surprised to see Dream Big Designs at SO?
DBD seems like a step down for them. Not sure if I'm really surprised though.
OMFG Dream Big Designs has THE WORST quality. But, so do others at SO, so no, I'm not surprised.
178-I CT for three designers at 2 peas, and I like the people in the forums there. Although, over the past few years, participation has really gone down. It used to be quite busy on the boards.

I have to know - why is that so many of you smack SO and SSD and yet you always want to know who the new designers are, who the new CTMs are.
^Because Scrap Orchard and Sweet Shoppe are both contenders for best digi-store out there. Sweet Shoppe has been around for a long time, with lots of loyal customers. Scrap Orchard is branching out and doing things that no other digi-stores are doing. Trailblazers, if you will.

#192 - because it's more than one person on this blog. Some people LIKE SO and SSD and some people don't. So, there ya go. Some people care, some people couldn't care less.
According to one of Aly's signatures, she CT's for AnnaBV, HGD by Laurie Ann, K Studio, and Luiza Garay. Since Laurie Ann and K Studio are at After 5 and that store is near closing, I could see both of them going to SO. I don't think Luiza is active anymore, so I doubt it's her.
